Meine diesbezügliche Suche fiel in den Zeitraum der Ankündigung dieses angeblichen Wunderwerks. Nach dem Hype folgte die erste Ernüchterung: Es conflict einfach nicht dranzukommen, an das Gerät. Samsung hatte Deutschland in seiner ersten Charge wohl nur mit einer Handvoll Geräten bedacht, die dementsprechend schnell weg struggleen. Nach nervenaufreibenden Wochen und einem ersten Gespräch mit der Samsung Hotline, welches das Informationschaos noch nicht erahnen ließ, hielt ich die vermeintliche Übermaschine dann Anfang Mai endlich in meinen Händen. Und war noch guter Dinge. Nach und nach sollte dann aber der Lack blättern. Gegenwert der Hardware und Kundenservice, ich muss es an dieser Stelle betonen, sind, gemessen am Verkaufspreis des 900x3a, leider ein Witz. Und zwar ein ziemlich schlechter.

Negativ (wusste ich quick alles schon, danke an die anderen Rezensoren):
- Nicht so starkes WLAN,
EDIT: Wenn man in den Energieoptionen das WLAN auf Höchstleistung stellt (statt auf maximal Strom sparend), dann funktioniert es etwas besser. Man muss vorher lediglich das Samsung Fast Start deaktivieren.
- Bildschirmhelligkeitsunterschiede (stört aber finde ich wirklich nicht)
- erstmal etwas Mühe mit diskpart um die Sicherheitspartition wieder loszubekommen
- VGA Adapter den man dazu bestellen muss (Samsung Kabel Micro-HDMI zu VGA Adapter)
- leichte Fingerdapper am Gerät
- Das Office was einem angeboten wird nimmt keinen Office Standard Key (das heißt man muss Office Standard nochmal installieren)
- Kein Nummernblock den man einschalten kann (blöd wenn man sich seine Banknummern graphisch am Nummernblock gemerkt hat, aber das ist definitiv ein lösbares Problem)
- Deaktivierte Windows Energieeinstellungen (Edit: Man muss Fn+F1 drücken, Fast Start deaktivieren und dann in die Einstellungen gehen, dann funktioniert es)
Positiv:

Leute, die damit nichts anfangen können oder wollen brauchen ab hier nicht weiterlesen - jene sind mit Erkenntnissen aus den anderen Rezensionen besser bedient.
Nun ein paar Erfahrungen aus subjektiver Ecke:
Allem voran - als 'MacbookAir Competitor' mit Windows 7 versagt das Samsung Series 9 beinahe haarsträubend ohne Anpassungen. Viele schlechte Bewertungen im Netz rühren her aus Gründen, die Microsofts Betriebssytem betreffen. Also davon nicht abschrecken lassen.
Ein fünftel der ohnehin kleineren SSD geht drauf für eine versteckte Backuppartition. Wer nicht in der Lage ist, sein System anderweitig und korrekt zu sichern, entscheidet sich hier ohnehin für das falsche Gerät (und überhaupt. Backup eines Geräts auf dem Gerät selber? Ach, Microsoft...). Das OEM Windows 7 ist nach erstmaligen Einrichtung aufgebläht auf >30GB. Dazu zählt auch Schlangenöl-Software wie beispielsweise ein Norton Antivirus, welches sich regelmäßig mit einem Popup meldet, da es ja Lizenzkeys verkaufen möchte.
Das hat nichts auf einem Luxus-Modell zu suchen. Es ist schlecht fürs Auge und Gelduld und noch schlechter, um mit Äpfelprodukten aus Cupertino zu konkurrieren. Ich wiederhole: knapp die halbe SSD ist per Design benutzt.
Das Touchpad wurde oftmals bemängelt. Unter Windows kann ich eine Überempfindlichkeit bestätigen. Die integrierte Maustaste ist quick unbenutzbar, da der Zeiger immer ~1cm verzieht beim Runterdrücken des Fingers. Mit rudimentären Rumspielen an den Einstellungen konnte zumindest ich das nicht wirklich verbessern. Das heißt aber nicht unbedingt used to be.
Ansonsten läuft Windows stabil und sehr schnell, so wie man es von der Hardware erwartet.
Linux.
Zwei Distributionen habe ich getestet. Mein Favorit Arch Linux und natürlich Ubuntu.
Der Treiber für das WLAN ist ab Version 2.6.38 integriert. Daher habe ich das aktuellste Archboot gestartet. Bei der Installation darauf achten, keine weitere Firmware zu installieren, da sonst das Modul b43 fürs Wlan geladen wird, welches hier nicht funktioniert. Ich entschied mich für die Installation des aktuellen Gnome three, warfare aber mit der Stabilität und Geschwindigkeit des Bootens (25 s) unzufrieden, was once wahrscheinlich mehr am Gnome als am Notebook liegt. Wer KDE oder anderes bevorzugt kann hier dennoch auf seine Kosten kommen.
